Facing big problems in a new country can be isolating. But it doesn't have to be.

In Connected Islands, you don't need to translate your thoughts. I aim to meet you at where you are with Cantonese used as the main language. 

Together we find the solutions that is best fitted for your context.

 

Solution-focused brief therapy

Focusing on the preferred solution through understanding your previous experiences and the strengths, this is a more time-efficient way for you to establish plans on the actionable solutions.

Therapeutic services

The connection between you and your counsellor is one of the most important parts of the healing process. My priority is to provide a space where you feel heard and respected, without judgment. I believe in being open about my methods and listening deeply to whatever is on your mind. To see if we connect well, you can book a free consultation here.

During our sessions, I use a mix of post-modern, evidence-based methods, including Narrative Therapy (NT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). Both approaches are trauma-informed and respectful of your cultural and personal background. My role is to support you in practicing your expertness on your own life. Together, we can choose the approach that best fits your needs.

Focusing on your identity, beliefs, and values, I seek to empower your voice and your strengths. You can move forward with sustainable solutions that fit you as a person.

My hours

I am available for sessions Monday to Friday from 4pm to 7pm, and Saturdays between 10am and 5pm AEST.
